Bill Cosby Thanks His TV Daughter, Actress Keshia Knight As She Supports Him On First Day of Sexual Assault Trial
Bill Cosby hopped on Twitter Monday afternoon, taking advantage of a recess in his sexual assault trial to rave about actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, who made a surprise appearance in Pennsylvania earlier that day as court proceedings got underway in the case.
The 79-year-old actor sent out two tweets in quick succession, starting with a photo of himself and Pulliam hanging out by a water jug in the Montgomery County Courthouse.
‘Thank you to Cliff and Claire’s 4 year old daughter (Rudy) and the Brilliant Spelman Alumnus #TheCosbyShow #KeshiaKnightPulliam,’ wrote Cosby, or the person responsible for maintaining his social media accounts.
His second tweet was a bit more to the point, and contained just three hashtags: ‘#TheCosbyShow #KeishaKnightPulliam #CameToCourtToHearTheTruth.’
Pulliam, 38, caused quite a stir Monday morning when she was spotted walking arm-in-arm with Cosby into court, with the pair making it a point to pass in front of the hundreds of photographers and members of the press gathered outside.
The two did not respond to questions on their way in, choosing instead to converse with one another as police officers shielded them from the fray.
They also burst out laughing at one point after sharing a joke, despite the fact that Cosby is facing up to 10 years in prison for three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
Cosby was not joined by any members of his actual family as he walked into court on Monday, with his spokesperson Andrew Wyatt joining the criminal defendant and his former co-star.
The actor’s wife of 53 years, Camille Cosby, was also not inside the courtroom on Monday.
