Flying Eagles To Play Senegal In African Youth Championship Final
The Flying Eagles will face hosts Senegal, in the final of this year’s African Youth Championshipon Sunday.
Nigeria beat Ghana 2-0 in their semi-final clash on Wednesday, while Senegal beat Mali 2-1 in a thrilling encounter on Thursday.
Moussa Kone scored twice for the home team, before the Eaglets grabbed a consolation goal from Alassane Diallo.
The Flying Eagles have already beaten Senegal 3-1 in the opening match of the tournament, with Taiwo Awoniyi netting a brace.
It is the first time a Senegalese team will reach the final of a major continental competition, since the Africa Cup of Nations in 2002, when they lost to Cameroon on penalties.
Ghana will play Mali in the third-place game.
