Labour Party Senatorial Candidate, Dies In Ogun
As the anticipation to the 2015 Elections gets more tensed, news in reveals that the Labour Party (LP) in Ogun state has suffered a major setback.
The reports emanating from Ogun state has it that, The Labour Party (LP) recorded a huge lost as one of its aspiring candidates in the upcoming elections was confirmed dead this morning.
Mr. Solomon Olamilekan, The Labour Party candidate for the Ogun West Senatorial District in the forthcoming National Assembly election, died the early hours of today, February 18, 2015.
According to the secretary of Labour Party in Ogun state, Sunday Oginni, Mr. Olamilekan, 54, was found dead after he complained of stiff neck three days ago and was thereafter rushed to a private hospital where he gave up.
Mr. Sunday described the death as shocking as the candidate was busy campaigning when he fell ill and hitherto had been very healthy.
It would be recalled that a similar tragedy occurred on sunday night, February 15, when gunmen killed the ward chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Kurra Falls of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev. Samuel Doro.
