Manchester United To Play Club Brugge In Champions League Play-Off Round
Manchester United have been drawn against Belgian side Club Brugge in the Champions League play-off round.
United youngster Adnan Januzaj is already excited about their return to Europe’s elite competition. He tweets:
Man United will face Club Brugge KV in the Champions League play-off round. #UCLdraw
The Red Devils would have been mightily relieved as there were fears Louis Van Gaal’s men were on a collision course with one of SS Lazio, Valencia or CSKA Moscow as expressed in this tweet.
Scottish champions Celtic will have to overcome Swedish side Malmo who overturned a 2-0 first-leg deficit to beat Red Bull Salzburg 3-2 on aggregate in the third qualifying round.
Spanish club Valencia will lock horns with AS Monaco of France while Sporting Lisbon do battle with Russian Premier League side CSKA Moscow.
The first legs will take place on Tuesday 18 August and Wednesday 19 August with the return fixtures scheduled for the following week.
