Trump Blames The Victims For Florida School Shooting
Donald Trump on Thursday morning seemed to place some of the blame for Wednesday’s deadly rampage at a Florida high school at the feet of the alleged murderer’s ‘neighbors and classmates,’ saying they should have told authorities about clear warning signs.
‘So many signs that the Florida shooter was mentally disturbed, even expelled from school for bad and erratic behavior. Neighbors and classmates knew he was a big problem,’ the president tweeted.
‘Must always report such instances to authorities, again and again!’
Students and people living near Nikolas Cruz have described him in the past 24 hours as a troubled teenager who threatened and harassed peers, talked about killing animals, posed with guns in disturbing photos on social media and bragged about target practice in his backyard with a pellet gun.
He was reported to the FBI for a troubling YouTube post last year, but the bureau says it was unable to act on it, the BBC reported. One classmate told WFOR-TV that ‘everyone predicted’ a deadly outburst, however, police say they received no calls about Cruz.
Superintendent Robert Runcie also told reporters, ‘We received no warnings.’
